Episode 3 of Road to a Million. The journey continues: from Dawson City, Yukon to Victoria, BC - Mile Zero of the Trans Canada Highway. In this long-term series we're putting a base 2026 Tesla Model 3 (RWD) to the test to find out if it can make it to a million kilometres on the original battery. Our Tesla Model Y adventure build is nearly finished, and you could be the one driving it. After the lift and range test, a clunk in the front end got worse. So in this video we replace both upper and lower control arms on each side and a wheel bearing. We also add a heavier skid plate. Then we fit Method MR707 wheels (18x8.5) with 255/55R18 all-terrain tires. We put them on the scale against the stock 19-inch setup. The extra sidewall should soak up rough terrain better, and we’ll see what it does to range. To finish, we wrapped the whole car. Graphic Mart supplied the Arlon colour change vinyl: gloss sand, matte black and gloss orange accents. We put our own Defense+ Matte paint protection film over the sand & black. That gives a matte finish that contrasts with the gloss orange, and it protects the wrap too. Stay to the end for the reveal.
